Documentary filmmaker and screenwriter Matt Sienkiewicz, a Communication Department assistant professor and media scholar, has added another Emmy nod to his list of professional accomplishments.
His 2016 public service announcement 鈥淪aid No Drug Dealer Ever," which he co-produced for the Massachusetts' Middlesex District Attorney鈥檚 Office, has been nominated for the award by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Boston/New England chapter.

The PSA鈥攄esigned to resonate with a young audience and spur prospective opiate users to consider the issues that might follow their first pill, from side effects to costs to addiction鈥攊s nominated in the Community/Public Service Single-Spot category.
The NATAS Boston/NE chapter received more than 900 entries this year, from television stations, production companies, and other media entities across New England. Its 40th听awards ceremony will be held on June 24 at the Marriott Boston Copley Place.
In 2005, Sienkiewicz received an Emmy nomination for Best Program Writing in New England for the television series听Windy Acres听(which won an Emmy for best entertainment program in New England); he videographed and produced听贵别蝉迟补,听which received听an Emmy Nomination for Best Cultural Documentary in 2007. 听
